Fiona O’Loughlin - BSc LLB - Associate

Fiona is an experienced executive with demonstrated skills in shaping and championing strategic agendas, representation and advocacy, systems design and execution, change management, compliance systems and culture, consulting and research, financial management and reporting, workflow and resource forecasting, and human resources. Fiona has experience across the professional services, corporate and not for profit sectors.

Fiona brings a unique mix of information, legal and management expertise to deliver strong commercial results in a complex business environment.

Fiona has practiced as a commercial lawyer for over 20 years, and specialised in technology law with Australian and UK top tier law firms. She has advised IT suppliers and customers on Internet, e-commerce and privacy issues. More recently, Fiona has experience leading teams of professionals in a multi-disciplinary compliance function.

Fiona worked extensively on Galexia’s project for the Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner and the National Office for the Information Economy, developing privacy guidelines for the use of digital certificates by Government agencies. She is also the co-author of Galexia’s seminal Intelligence Report on Privacy Impact Assessments.
